A Year in the Life of Opening an Classical Orthodox School…Reflections from the Headmaster

by Jul 7, 2021A Year in the Life of Opening a Classical Orthodox School-Reflections

Dear John of Chrysostom School Families, Friends, and Benefactors,

This post represents the first, God willing, of many documenting “Year Zero” at John of Chrysostom School of Lehigh Valley. The school was born out of a desire of parents, clergy, and families for a classical Orthodox school in the Lehigh Valley. As a result of their work, the school will offer students robust, classical, content-rich curriculum, informed by our holy Orthodox faith. Since there are not many schools like this in the United States, we are afforded great latitude in developing our program.

Over the coming weeks and months, I will use this blog to keep all informed about our progress. Please continue to check back here for updates as many exciting things will be happening. Also, don’t forget about our Parent Informational Meetings taking place now until the end of August. These meetings will cover everything from a day in the life of students to more technical discussions about the nature and purpose of classical Orthodox education. To sign up for these sessions, please visit our website at https://chrysostomacademy.org/parentinfo or call 610-427-2758.

Yours in Christ,

John W. Heitzenrater, II A.B., M.H.M
