Our First Christmas Concert at the Academy

by Dec 22, 2022From the Headmaster's Desk-Reflections on Classical Education, News & Updates

As a headmaster, I embrace each year with the hope that students will aspire to holiness and excellence, to become complete humans in search of wisdom and virtue. While academics and discipline are important to a classical education, they are only one small part of student formation. Music, and her noble sister art, bring wholeness to the formation educators and parents work tirelessly to give to our students. Music and art move the soul, and if done properly, transport us outside of ourselves to a place where goodness, truth, and beauty meet in the Divine.

On Thursday, December 22nd, our students performed their first annual Christmas concert to the jubilation of their parents, grandparents, friends, and siblings. Our students have been working hard all semester to master the words, tones, and melodies of the pieces they sang.

Thank you to all of our families who came out to celebrate the birth of our Divine Savior with us!

Our gift to you this Nativity season is a video of our children singing songs in honor of our Lord’s Nativity, the Theotokos, and St. Nicholas. There are also some familiar Christmas carols for you to sing along. Please like and share with your family and friends. And if you are in the area, please consider visiting our campus to meet our amazing faculty, staff, and students.

Christ is Born! Glorify Him.
